Description

Fresh is Real’s famous Avocado Dip is creamy and easy to make! It’s nutritious, gluten-free, vegan and allergen-friendly! A quick 10-ingredient junk-free dip to make for special gatherings as it meets a wide variety of dietary restriction

Ingredients

Scale

11/2 to 2 ripe avocados*
1/2 cup water
2 tablespoons olive or avocado oil
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice (juice from half a lemon)
1 teaspoon fresh lime juice
1 tablespoon maple syrup
1 garlic clove
2 green onions, white part only**
1/3 cup fresh cilantro
1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon fine grey sea salt***
1/8 teaspoon fresh ground pepper

Instructions

Step 1
Scoop out the ripe avocado and transfer to NUTRiBULLET or high-speed Vitamix. Place all remaining ingredients in the same blender container and blend until smooth.

Step 2
Transfer dip to a nice clear glass jar/bowl/dish and serve or refrigerate until ready to eat.

Step 3
Decorate with reserved chopped onion greens. Enjoy with salads, rice dishes, crudités or with crackers and chips!

Notes

The Avocado Dip will keep in the refrigerator for a few days because of the added lemon and lime juice.

If you find your dip too thick, add a little more water to thin it out when you’re blending it.

Are you on an oil-free diet? No problem! Try the dip without oil, the avocado itself contains a nice amount of good-for-you fats. Just replace the oil called for in the recipe with a little more water.

*Two small ones or one large one should suffice.
**Reserve onion greens to decorate dip. Chop then sprinkle over top of the serving bowl.
***Start with 1/4 teaspoon and taste after you blend. Add more if needed, up to 1/2 teaspoon total.
