Comment on Life-Changing Fermented Vegetables by Chantal.

Hi Meerah! If you read steps 2 and 3 in the recipe, you will get the details to add sea salt to some water to create a brine to add to your veggie-filled jar. You can also add garlic, fresh herbs and pickling spices to flavour the brine and veggies.

Hi Sue! You can seal the jar(s) loosely or seal them (if they have clips) but yes, burp them once or twice daily to prevent too much gas build-up.

Gluten-Free Sourdough Starter
Hi Tamara! The big pocket is called a flying crust. Your dough is either too wet or proofed for too long. Once you start a new one, let me know if you have additional questions. You can watch this newest video (https://youtu.be/QuHSndIBMQI) to help you make a new GF starter. It’s a similar recipe but for a smaller portion. Once it’s ready, you can feed it more flour and water to create more starter for the sourdough bread recipe you decide to make.

Gluten-Free Sourdough Starter
Hi! Can you send me a picture on Facebook or Instagram? How does it smell? You can email me if it’s easier at [email protected] That way it will be easier for me to see your progress. Is it very thin and liquidy? How did it look on days 3 and 4?

Yeast-Free Gluten-Free Vegan Bread
Hi! Thank you for your comment and rating. That’s an interesting question! Often hemp milk can taste a little bitter to some that are not used to drinking it or using it baked goods, but you used almond milk. I can’t say that psyllium husk has much of a taste. Open your container/bag of psyllium husk and smell it to ensure it’s not rancid or anything. Even GF flour can go bad if not used regularly.

How to Make Grain-Free Bread
Hi Denise! Thank you so much for the lovely message! The information to convert this Grain-Free Bread recipe into a sourdough is within the Grain-Free Bread recipe post. A few paragraphs above the recipe card in a light grey box. For the version without GF sourdough starter, you basically add 1/2 cup of starter to the dough mixture. The instructions are included as well. Let me know if you have any questions once you read it over 😉
