Comment on Yeast-Free Gluten-Free Vegan Bread by Kizzy Powell.

Hi there

I tried this tonight with my bread maker. Followed all the instructions. Only substitute was apple cider vinegar. Made the hemp milk used all the recommended flours and I used a gf baking powder that was potato starch. I am trying to make this for my mother who is in a nursing home and has many allergies. This bread will be perfect if I can get it right.

It didn’t rise and it is gloopy in the middle. The bread tastes great despite being spongy.

Any tips on what setting to use on the bread maker or if I should use less/more water to make it rise? I am not sure which way to turn to fix this. I only have an airfryer oven so not suitable for baking really and this is why I bought the bread maker. It was my first attempt and I can try again but the ingredients are so expensive here in the U.K. I want to be as economical with them as possible to try and get this right.

Oh and I give it 5 stars but when I click on that my message disappears.
Many thanks.
